How To Plan A Memorable Virtual Family Reunion - Part I

Planning a fun and memorable family reunion in the traditional way has been the norm for centuries. In a new era of social distancing and social media, families are being innovative and creative when planning reunions in the 2020's.

But who knew that throwing a family reunion gathering on Zoom could be just as enjoyable and in some ways more impactful.

But the best part of planning a Zoom family reunion is the creative activities. You won't miss out on all the fun family reunion, it's just done slightly differently.

Many activities can be had using the screen share feature found on the more popular video conference apps. One example is the family tree presentation. Another is a heartwarming family reunion slide show.

A video mashup of highlights over the past few years including weddings, births, graduations, and other ceremonies is sure to tug at the heartstrings.

And while playing some of the more traditional in-person family reunion sports activities would be a challenge, there are many video games that feature the very same activities that can be played and displayed on video conference systems.

That said there is virtually nothing you can't do when planning your virtual family reunion itinerary. So let's get creative. The next series of articles will explore how to plan a virtual family reunion using the ideas in our book Fimark's Family Reunion Planner Keepsake and Guide.
